So heed the words of those who have come before you, and keep these commandments in thine heart as thou dost create thy Database application. If thou shalt only follow these commandments thy burden shall be made light and thy path shall be made straight.

The official seal of the School of Information Technology depicts its noble mission to educate young IT professionals for the service of God and Country (Deo et Patriae) along with the vision and mission of the Divine Word College of Laoag.
The shield signifies that knowledge will intercept all kins of decadence. The four sections of the shield represent the four aspects of the school, its curricular programs, instruction, its graduates and spirituality.
The open book and torch of learning signifies, the school as an educational center that is responsible of providing competent instructions. The open book also refers to the Bible, the Word of God.
The cross is the symbol for Christianirty which shows that the school belongs to a Catholic institution.
The three stars represents the curricular programs of the school namely, computer science, information technology and information system.
The globe with the computer signifies the commitment of the school to produce globally competitive IT professionals equipped with skills and strong moral values.
The blue and yellow colors are taken from the seal of the college and the gray symbolizes the continuous development of information technology.
The lines across the shield represent that the school must embrace these four aspects as foundation that gears toward the realization of its mission.
